.htaccess och GIS

Jag har ett bekymmer med GIS och .htaccess

tumnaglarna visas inte om jag inte plockar bort .htaccess-filen i .gis-katalogen

som t.ex. http://piggelin.mine.nu/bildarkiv/index ... %2Fanimals

hur gör jag för att få det att funka (utan att radera alla .htaccess)?
os är debian
