Hot Hardware - flera bra artiklar

Hot Hardware.com har presenterat flera bra artiklar senaste veckan som jag tycker är värt att tipsa om.

Först har vi en bra recension av Western Digital:s 2 TB hårddisk.

Performance Summary: Western Digital's Green Power 2TB drive performed above average in our tests and did so while running very cool and quiet. It excelled at disk writes and delivered results at or near the top in all benchmarks when compared to the other consumer drives. The WDGP 2TB also ramped up quickly and performed well in the ATTO benchmark. This is impressive from a drive that also provides the added benefits of using "Green Technology" and consuming less power.

Sen har vi en bra video som visar på hur man överklockar Core i7. Videon kanske är emellanåt något generell, och tipset att ha en 1000W-nätaggregat för att ha lite "head-room" kanske är lite överdrivet. Men i och med att Core i7 har introducerat ett flertal nya alternativ i BIOS som styr stabiliteten vid överklockning kan den fortfarande vara bra att se.

Till sist har vi en genomgång av tre Geforce GTX 285-grafikkort, efterföljare till den tidigare GTX 280. Alla tre i testet är fabriksöverklockade och presterar bra gentemot referenskortet från Nvidia.

Performance Summary: Out of the gate, we expected all three of the overclocked GTX 285 cards to offer a nice performance advantage over the reference NVIDIA GTX 285, and they all met that expectation. Thanks to its overall fastest clock profile, the BFG GTX 285 OCX performed the best by a small margin in most tests.
